Thank you Villiam and Katerina for all your help in arranging our stay in Praha. The hotel was lovely and accommodations were great. The location was perfect for our needs and we were able to walk everywhere. We even took the tram up to the castle! Very easy, with a little guidence from the front desk.
We cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone was at Melantrich reception. We worked mostly with Petra, but everyone we came in contact with was very helpful. They gave us ideas for restaurants, were helpful with locations in the city, they did their best to make our stay memorable.
Our arrangements from the airport and to the bus station, were spot on. Petra arranged it all and everyone was on time and very pleasant.
Thank you both, again, for all your help.

Clean, calm and very nice hotel in the center of old Prague. I really liked the personnel of the hotel, all of them are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast, very healthy and diverse. Rooms are cleaned every day. Bravo! Quite happy with my stay with Melantrich. Many thanks.

I went to Prague for a pleasure trip. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was good. The location of the hotel allowed us to easily walk to anywhere downtown and to the historic area. I would definitely stay again. Good price as well! I stayed 2 nights.

Awesome location!!! Less then 2 min walk to the main square. Was able to check in early and the breakfast was good. Room is older but cozy. I recommend and wil stay again.

Excellent location, 3-4 minutes from Old Square, very friendly staff (we arrived after a very early flight and they kindly allowed us to check-in at 10 o'clock), correct price/quality ratio.

The room was clean, quite spacious, the hotel is clean, the breakfast is excellent. Towels and bed linen and curtains are clean and were in good condition. The hotel is well located. I recommend.

Hotel Melantrich is in a prime location for access to all the major areas of Prague, just around the corner from Old Town, and a decent stroll past all the landmarks to the Charles Bridge and over to the Castle. Very friendly staff plus a decent breakfast included. They call themselves 3 star, I give them 4.

It was a really nice hotel. Great location, it´s in the city center. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is included in the room rate. Totally recommended.

Together with my husband we have been to Prague several times, but this year for the first time we stayed at Melantich hotel. Everything was fine, rooms are nice and clean, staff is doing their best. We were absolutely satisfied with this hotel and we hope to come back soon

Location is fantastic, Exit front door turn left walk 200 meters along pedestrian mall you are at the Astronomical Clock and Town Square, full of Restaurants,shops and Coffees. Tourist bridge and castle are within interesting walk.Hotel staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.Breakfast Buffet is simple but good. We will defiantly stay there again next year.

We always book hotel Melantrich when we visit Prague and every time we're very pleased and happy we didn't try another one. The staff is very friendly and kind, the breakfast was very good this year, you can choose several fruits, vegetables, eggs, breads, sausage,cheese... There is a machine with fresh water you can serve yourself during the day and night.

The hotel itself was excellent, not any luxury, but just what we wanted, at least for a short stay. The room was very clean and cosy, also warm enough (January!), beds were good, bathroom with good towels was also clean and big enough. It was also very quiet, so you could sleep well. The hotel is small, which we also liked. Small hotels are always much more comfortable than the big ones! In general the hotel was even better what we expected and just perfect for our needs, really great value for money. Also the breakfast was very good and plentiful, good way to start the day. The staff was also nice and friendly. Nevertheless the LOCATION is the best thing when describing this hotel! You could reach almost everything by walking; shops, restaurants, bars, all the main attractions and sights. Also in January almost everything was on sale, also the famous Bohemian crystal, so you could also do very good shopping in Prague. We have nothing to complain about the hotel or Prague itself. Prague is a great place to stay!! When we next time visit Prague (this was our first time) we will for sure stay at the same hotel. Highly recommended if you are an "average tourist", and not need any luxury.

The hotel is clean, safe, and in the center of the old town; so it's easy to get to many tourist destinations. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, and they speak very good English. The breakfast provided is excellent with a good amount of options.

The location could not be better: between the two main squares, right near the subway. The hotel is simple and has everything you need: efficient and helpful attendants, is very clean, the room in which I was much more spacious than expected, the breakfast is served until the end of time.

I have not seen it have a lift. We requested a room on the first floor and we were met. And as they do not have a person to help with the bags, it is best to check the elevator before (we had lots of bags).

My main reason was to write to thank you and share my experience. Upon leaving the hotel upon checkout, I forgot my purse in the room. When I arrived at my destination I sent an email informing and asking if anyone had found. They just said to me that they had found and asked what they should do with the bag. I asked them to send mail and by discounting the value of posting the credit card used to pay for the hotel. And now, I just took the bag, which met with great joy in it all there was: ipod, video camera and shoot, cash in U.S. dollars, my documents. It was all in!

Good to know we can trust the employees. It is then my recommendation!

My third time in Hotel Melantrich. Still flawless! Friendly and helpfull staff, perfect location. Rich buffett breakfast. Clean and comfortable hotel.

Choose this Hotel because of location, but in the end we liked it for staff. Old man at reception was fantastic and it was real pleasure to talk to him during our stay. Today we are leaving Czech Republic, but when we come back it will be to this hotel.

We just returned from our Europe trip, and, are back in Florida. We enjoyed staying in the Melantrich hotel. The service was excellent ( that included the grateful hints and tips we received from the friendly personnel at the reception). The central location of the hotel is superb, easy walking distance to almost everything. All in all, we enjoyed staying in Prague and being in your care. We would recommend it to anyone.

We have just come home from visiting Prague for the 3rd time and our 1st time at the Hotel Melantrich. Rooms were clean and spacious, the shower was great and warmed up within seconds and the beds were very comfortable.

We didn't see many of the breakfasts as were out late at night and up late in the morning but the one we did have was great, basic as most continental breakfasts are. Considering the very central location it is also very quiet at night, which was welcoming.

As most of the reviews have said the location is fantasic and we had no need to buy a three day travel pass for the trams and metro as everything is within walking distance!

Overall I would not have any hesitation stopping here again as it is a very reasonable priced hotel for the area.

Myself and my boyfriend have stayed here about 6 times in the last 2 years. We have been here winter, spring, summer and autmn and each time it has been great. This hotel whilst basic is in a fantastic location, right in the centre of the main walkway between the Old Town and Wenceslas Squares, and only 5 minutes walk from the Agharta jazz club. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a more luxurious hotel then this is not the one for you. But if you need somewhere that is clean, basic and superbly located then stay here. We have a great time every time we come!

The location of this hotel is its biggest plus situated between Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square. It was convenient to get to the places I wanted to go to in the city.
The main entrance is through a common lobby shared with the restaurant/club downstairs. You do have to be buzzed in to get the the hotel's actual lobby but that wasn't a problem. I felt safe there as I did the places I went to day and night in Prague even as a woman traveling alone.

All of the hotel staff I interacted with during my four night stay were all pleasant and polite. The front desk staff all spoke very good English and were helpful. More than one were more than happy to draw out directions on the map or give suggestions of what to see. The housekeeping staff was also pleasant. When I first arrived, there was a problem with the television cables in my room and when I called the front desk staff came to fix the problem within 3 minutes.

I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast. There was coffee, selection of teas, multivitamin juice, apple juice, water, and milk. There were also one each of warm meat, starch, and vegetable selections. There were a selection of breads including 3 sweetened breads. Trays of cheeses and meat. Different cold relish trays. Small fresh fruit selection but didn't seem to run out. Yogurt with 3 different cereals and a canned fruit.
Additionally the front desk sold sodas, beer, and water and a small selection of wine and liquor. They also had snacks--chips and nuts. These were not horribly inflated minibar prices but rather prices similar to shops.
Just outside is the outside market with vendors selling fresh fruit and other things.
They also sold stamps for postcards--very convenient!

Nice, clean, small room at a small family-hotel, excelent situated close to the Havel-market and just a few steps from the Vaclav-square and the old-town square. The entrance. You have to pass the entrance to a noicy discoteque - but it was OK.

The central location. The hotel was very near the main sites of interest. It was literally minutes away from Wencelas Square and the Old Town Square. There was no need to get any public transport, although this was very near also.
